Throughout the world Christians of all denominations, theologies and cultures are preparing for Easter.  Holy Week seems apt as the events we remember during these next few days mark the core elements of this faith - the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope which is vital to so many.

You may be planning special prayers or worship or times of retreat or pilgrimage to mark this time and we hope some of these resources may help you.  Do use our Seasons area to find specific Easter resources too.

Lent and Easter are always a busy time for us here at Proost.  This is a naturally contemplative and reflective season where we ask ourselves questions and we begin to gaze with similar amazement at the events of Jerusalem and a man who died on a cross all those years ago.

Pope Benedict once said at this time of year that "Lent stimulates us to let the Word of God penetrate our life and in this way to know the fundamental truth: who we are, where we come from, where we must go, what path we must take in life.."

In a way Lent can be a place of decision, reflection and of taking on new things as well as the traditional view of giving up.  It can be a significant time in our lives.

Do you make movies or short films?  Then Proost would love to hear from you.

We're announcing the first ever Proost movie competition.   Proost has shared movie's with it's community since it's beginning and we'd love to share more from movie makers who've never published their work on the site before.

Lent was once described as the "bright sadness".  It's a season which embraces every human emotion and every spiritual experience.  In this time we learn to hope in pain, to become at peace in turmoil.  At Lent we learn to find God in all things.   We hope some of the resources available on Proost will help you in this journey.
